Reportable information is often collected in silos across departments and vendors, with little manufacturer oversight or standardized data capture. Inconsistent definitions of covered recipients and reportable data across both federal and state requirements further complicate compliance, especially when vendors provide data suitable for one regulation but insufficient for others. These gaps create continuity issues for reporting samples and spend across multiple states and could increase the possibility of an audit.
