As part of QPharma’s ongoing commitment to supporting life sciences, we are providing this regulatory alert regarding the state of Massachusetts Prescription Samples Classification.
Massachusetts has identified all prescription drugs that do not fall under the Federal DEA schedule II – V as schedule VI drugs in the state.
This means that all practitioners requesting prescription samples must have a valid Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR) at the time samples are distributed in addition to a valid state license and a DEA license, when applicable.
